报告摘要：In this lecture we will describe current trends and challenges in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
个人简介：Dr. Ujjwal Maulik is a Professor in the Dept. of Comp. Sc. and Engg., Jadavpur University since2004. He was also the former Head of the same Departent. Dr. Maulik has worked in many universities andresearch laboratories around the world as visiting Professor/ Scientist including Los Alamos National Lab.USA, Univ. of' New South Wales, Australia, Univ, of Texas at Arlington, USA, Univ. of Maryland at BaltimoreCounty, USA, Fraunhofer Institute for Autonome Intelligent Systems, St. Augustin, Germany, Tsinghua Univ.China, Sapienza Univ., Rome, ltaly, Univ, of Heidelberg, Germany, German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ)Germany, Grenoble lNP, France, University of Warsaw, University of Padova, ltaly, Corvinus University,Budapest, Hungary, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP)Trieste, Italy and Stanford University, USA. Dr. Maulik is the recipient of Alexander von HumboldtFellowship during 2010, 2011 and 2012 and Senior Associate ofICTp, Italy during 2012-2018 and FulbrightFellowship in 2024-2025. He is the Fellow of Indian National Science Academy (INSA), Indian NationalAcademy of Engineers (INAE), National Academy of Science India (NASI), International Association forPattern Recognition (APR), USA, The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (lEEE), USA andAsia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAlA), Hongkong. He is also the Distinguish Member of theACM. He is a Distinguish Speaker of lEEE, CI as well as ACM. His research interest include MachineLearning, Pattern Analysis, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Multi-objective Optimization, Social Networkinglo'T and Autonomous Car. In these areas he has published ten books, more than four hundred papers, mentoringseveral start-ups, filed several patents and already guided twenty five doctoral students. His other interestinclude mentoring young students, traveling extensively around the globe, outdoor Sports and Music.
